Two House/Ephraimite doctrine We have been asked our position regarding the new/old Two House/Ephraimite doctrine and the related speculation about the 10 Northern Tribes of Israel supposedly getting 'lost' and then showing up in the USA. At both recent AMC Conferences our President Steve Shermett presented seminars on these new twists on old false doctrines. Here is our Editor's quick summary of what was presented:
1. The Ten Northern Tribes were taken captive by Assyria. After a hundred years Babylon defeated Judah with it's 2 Tribes and defeated Assyria and took all their captives, including the Hebrews of the Ten Tribes. So there was a reunion of sorts, albeit in captivity, of all the 12 Tribes. After more years, Persia defeated Babylon and guess what they did? They let everyone go home, including the members of all 12 Tribes, together. The New Testament records members of several of the Northern Tribes back in Israel in the First Century. So, they weren't "lost", they were reunited with the rest of the Hebrew people, and the myth of "10 Lost Tribes" is the product of poor Bible exegesis or an intentional effort to invent a scenario that names some group or church as descendants of a tribe.
2. Scripture uses the terms Jewish and Israel interchangeably, trying to invent some difference between the terms is really "reading back" into the Scriptures a recent false teaching. A good example of the interchangeability is Romans 11:1, where Rabbi Sh'aul (known generally as Paul) calls himself an "Israelite" of "the Tribe of Benjamin". Of course, Benjamin was part of Judah.
3. Gentile Believers in Messiah Yeshua are beloved of G-D and do not need to invent, imagine or make up a false Jewish/Hebrew/Israel lineage to be top-ranked "players" in the family of G-D. G-D loves Gentiles who love the Messiah. Selah.

HOLY TRINITY
The doctrine of the Trinity is pagan in origin. The
concept of a triad in deity worship began in Babylon and was patterned
on Nimrod, his wife Semiramis and their son Tammuz. Later cultures such
as the Egyptians adopted this belief, which can be seen in their
worship of Osiris, Isis and Horus.
The Holy Spirit a third person?
The Holy Spirit is often referred to as "it" and "the"
in the Greek text of the Brit Hadashah (New Testament). This is not how
a person is properly addressed; it is proper to address a person by his
or her name. But wait! The Holy Spirit has no name either. Why? Because
unlike the Father YaHuWaH and Y'shua the Messiah, the Holy Spirit is
not a person; it is the spirit of YaHuWaH.
Furthermore, the term found in the Tanach that
is translated as "Holy Spirit" is "Ha Ruach Ha Kodesh". In Hebrew, the
original inspired language of the Tanach (Old Testament), the word
"Ruach" cannot be construed as a person. It is a force. It is
invisible. It is like wind, because it can be felt or experienced, but
not seen. It is intelligence, mentality, life. It never portrays a
person, however, it is YaHuWaH's Spirit, but not His actual person
dwelling in the hearts and lives of His People (His People: Exodus
31:13, Ezekiel 19:20, Ezekiel 20:19-20).
The Oneness of Elohim
One of the reasons you do not see practicing Jews
flock to the Christian churches is that they know better than to accept
doctrines such as the 'Holy Trinity.' Jews know all too well from the
Tanach (Old Testament) that it was accepting aspects of pagan doctrine
into their worship with YaHuWaH that cause them to be separated from
YaHuWaH in the past. It is these pagan doctrines that actually keep
Jews from accepting the Messiah because any Torah-observant Jew will
never accept these strange doctrines.
One thing that Christians do not realize is
that practicing Jews pray the Shema three times a day. If you are a
Christian you may be wondering, "what is the Shema?" I rest my case.
The Shema is a traditional Hebrew prayer, taken from Scripture as all
Hebrew prayers are, that simply states that Elohim is one person. In
other words they have been taught for thousands of years that Elohim is
one, not three (persons).
HEAR, O YISRA'EL: YHWH OUR ELOHIM, YHWH IS ONE.
And you shall love YHWH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all
your soul, and with all your might. And these words, which I command
you this day, shall be upon your heart; and you shall teach them
diligently unto your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in
your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and
when you rise up. And you shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and
they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. And you shall write them
upon the door-posts of your house and upon your gates. (HRV Deuteronomy 6:4-9)
"Hear O Yisra'el: YaHuWaH our Elohim, YaHuWaH is One!
"And you shall love YaHuWaH your Elohim with all your heart, and with
all your being, and with all your might. "And these Words which I am
commanding you today shall be in your heart, and you shall impress them
upon your children, and shall speak of them when you sit in your house,
and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise
up, and shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be
frontlets between your eyes. "And you shall write them on the doorposts
of your house and on your gates. (ISR Debarim 6:4-9)
Many Christians may now realize that this passage
rings a bell now that they think about it. This is because this
traditional Hebrew prayer is also found in the Brit Hadashah (New
Testament). When asked, "What is the Greatest of all commandments?"
Y'shua the Messiah quoted the Shema and started out by saying that
Elohim is one!
The original Aleph and Taw
One of the most fascinating statements that tell us
who Y'shua was is in the book of Revelation. In this statement, Y'shua
claims to be the Alpha and Omega in both Revelations 1:8 and again in
Revelations 22:13. Lets go to the Brit Hadashah (New Testament) and
read these two passages from the New King James Version for a change.
I am Aleph and Tav says Adonai YHWH, he who is and was and is to come, who is the Almighty. (HRV Revelation 1:8)
"I am the 'Aleph' and the 'Taw', Beginning and End," says YaHuWaH "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." (ISR Revelation 1:8)
And again we read the same later in the book of Revelation.
I am Aleph and I am Tav, the first and the last and the beginning and the end. (HRV Revelation 22:13)
"I am the 'Aleph' and the 'Taw', the beginning and the end, the First and the Last. (ISR Revelation 22:13)
This may sound insignificant to a Christian, but to
a Jew who knows the Tanach (Old Testament) and a bit of Hebrew it is a
real eye opener. In the Tanach (Old Testament) which was written in
Hebrew, one of the titles of the Father is ET which is composed of the
Hebrew letters Aleph and Taw, the First and Last letters
of the Hebrew Aleph-Biet (Alpha-bet). This title has always been known
to represent that YaHuWaH was, and is, and wil always will be the Beginning and End of the Hebrew language and everything in between. Let me spell this one out: He represented himself to be The Word.
Through doing this article and seeing these
verses I see something else here. Do you see what I see? At the end of
the first passage (Revelation 1:8) Who does Y'shua say that He is? "The
Almighty." And who is the Almighty? The Father!
Who was Y'shua the Messiah?
There are several passages in the Scripture that
indicate that Y'shua the Messiah was also YaHuWaH the Father, that they
are actually one in the same person. Let us go to the Brit Hadashah
(New Testament) and take a look at a little conversation that Y'shua
had with Philip. Philip was confused at who Y'shua really was, but
Y'shua (The Word) cleared things up for Philip.
If you know me you would have
known my Father. And from now on you know him and have seen. him.
Philip said to him, our Adon, show us the Father and it will satisfy
us. Yeshua said to him, Have I been with you all this time, and you do
not known me Philip? He who sees me has seen the Father. And how do you
say, Show us the Father? (HRV John 14:7-9)
"If you had known Me, you would have
known my Father too. From now on you know Him, and have seen." Philip
said to Him, "Master, show us the Father and it is enough for us."
Y'shua said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and you have not
known Me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father, and how do
you say, 'Show us the Father'? (ISR Yohanan 14:7-9)
After pondering what the Father had just spoke to
Philip, Philip then remembered the passage of Scripture that had been
read to him Sunday after Sunday while sitting in Church (Yeah Right!).
Bingo! Philip just realized that his favorite passage of Scripture in
the whole world about the Messiah says that He would be called
EVERLASTING FATHER!
For a Child is born unto us, a son
is given unto us, and the government is upon his shoulder; and his name
is called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty El, The Everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace. (HRV Isaiah 9:6)
For a Child shall be born unto us, a Son
shall be given unto us, and the rule is on His shoulder. And His Name
is called Wonderful, Counsellor, Strong El, Father of Continuity,
Prince of Peace. (ISR Yeshayahu 9:6)
All one has to do is go to the Word and forget about
the strange doctrines of men that have surfaced in the Christian
churches. Here are several other passages that will help clear thing up
a bit: John 1:1, John 10:30, John 14:7-9, 2nd Corinthians 4:4,
Colossians 1:15, 1st Timothy 3:16, and Hebrews 1:3. I am sure there are
a couple others as well.
A final word from the Father
An acrostic is a composition in verse, in which the
first, and sometimes last, letters of the line read in order to form a
name, a sentence, or title. Throughout the Tanach (Old Testament) there
are many fascinating acrostics and other textual peculiarities that
will fascinate the diligent scholar. In the Brit Hadashah (New
Testament) there also appears to be a Hebrew acrostic that generally
goes unnoticed.
When Y'shua was executed, Pilate wrote the
sign that was nailed to the cross. The particular wording he chose
displeased the Jewish leadership and they asked him to change it. He
refused. There are some interesting aspects to this incident that are
not apparent in our English translations.
And Pilate also wrote a tablet and
placed it on his gallows. And thus it was written, This is Yeshua, the
Natzrati, king of the Jews. And many of the Judeans read this board
because the place at which Yeshua was crucified was near the city, and
it was written in Hebrew, in Greek, in Latin. And the Chief Cohanim
said to Pilate, Do not write that he is king of the Jews, but that he
said, I am king of the Jews, Pilate said, What I have written, I have
written." (HRV John 19:19-22)
And Pilate wrote a title too, and put it
on the stake, and it was written: Y'SHUA OF NATSARETH, THE SOVEREIGN OF
THE YEHUDIM. Many of the Yehudim therefore read this title, for the
place where Y'shua was impaled was near the city, and it was written in
Hebrew, in Greek, in Roman. So the chief priests of the Yehudim said to
Pilate "Do not write, 'Sovereign of the Yehudim,' but, 'He said, "I am
Sovereign of the Yehudim."'" Pilate answered, "What I have written , I
have written." (ISR Yohanan 19:19-22)
Pilate refused to revise the epitaph he had
composed. This may have more significance than is apparent in our
English translations. The Hebrew epitaph is shown below (Hebrew is read
from right to left):
Y'shua HaNazarei wMelech HaYehudim:
Y'shua the Nazarene and King of the Jews.
What we don't notice in the English translation is
that the acrostic made up of the first letter of each word spells out
the name YaHuWaH (YHWH) in Hebrew, that's the Fathers name! If Pilate
had rewritten it in the manner the high priests had requested him to,
it would not have spelled out the name YaHuWaH. The epitaph that hung
above Y'shua as he was executed was that of YaHuWaH, the Father!
Something to think about
Something to think about is that YaHuWaH gave the
Torah to the Jews. The Torah contains no information on a 'Holy
Trinity' in any book, chapter, paragraph, or verse. The Jews have never
believed in any such doctrine; they believe YaHuWaH is one!
Now let us suppose that YaHuWaH did not simply
manifest himself in the flesh to provide a perfect sacrifice to atone
for our sins in the Messiah. Let us suppose that he came to introduce a
whole new concept in what (rather than who) He is. Why would he have
waited instead of explaining it in Torah? He wouldn't have, He would
have explained it in Torah!
The simple fact is that the word "Trinity" is
found nowhere in the Scripture. If YaHuWaH were to introduce such a
strange doctrine to the Jews and the rest of the world the Messiah or
at least the Apostles would have written about the new concept. There
is not one apostle who wrote about it: not one chapter, not one
paragraph, not one verse in Scripture.
And truly great is this mystery of
rightousness which was revealed in the flesh, and justified by the
Spirit, and was seen by angels, and was proclaimed among the Goyim, and
was believed in the world, and was taken up in glory. Now the Spirit
plainly says that in the last times some men shall depart from the
faith and shall go after deceiving spirits and after teachings of
shadim, (HRV 1st Timothy 3:16 - 4:1)
And, beyond all question, the secret of
reverence is great - Elohim who was revealed in the flesh, declared
right in Spirit, was seen by messengers, was proclaimed among nations,
was believed on in the world, was taken up in esteem. But the Spirit
distinctly says that in later times some shall fall away from the
belief, paying attention to misleading spirits, and teachings of
demons, (ISR 1st Timothy 3:16 - 4:1)
This passage seems be referring to the doctrine of
the "Holy Trinity". I hope this article will help clear the confusion
many of you have had (including myself) in the past trying to figure
out the strange doctrine of the 'Holy Trinity' that other confused
people were teaching us. Yes, I still remember the confusion on the
faces of those who tried to brain wash me. Even they didn't believe
what they were spewing out of their mouths. And the author of confusion
is...that's right: Satan!
