Let us  look at  Revelation Ch.13 beginning in verse 7.

7 it was allowed to make war on G-D's holy people and to defeat them;  and it (beast) was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.  8  Everyone living on earth will worship it except those whose names are written in the Book of Life belonging to the Lamb
slaughtered before the world was founded.  9 Those who have ears, let them hear!

           bst-17
So now we see that the beast will make war with G-D's holy people and what?  Overcome them!  How can this be ? " How could G-D allow this to happen ?"  some of you are probably saying.
If we look closely at the scriptures , we will find that many horrible things happen to believers and even happen presently to believers  in this world.  It is not the wrath of G-D as so many want to say this is, but it is  the result of the culmination of an evil world system collapsing within itself.
Now also notice, the mark of the beast , which is so identifiable even in the secular world, has not even occured!  That occurs later in the chapter in verse 16!  Let us see where does G-D's wrath occur?
Let us go to Revelation 14:9-20

9  Another angel , a third one, followed them and said in a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives the mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10  he will indeed drink the wine of G-D's fury poured undiluted into the cup of his rage.  He will be tormented by fire and sulfur before the holy angels and before the Lamb, 11  and the smoke from their tomenting goes up forever and ever.  They have no rest, day or night, those who worship the beast and its image and those who receive the mark of its name."  12  This is when perserverance is needed on the part of G-D's people, those who observe his commands and exercise Yeshua's faithfulness.
13  Next I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write: 'How blessed are the dead who die united with the L-RD, from now on!' 'Yes,' says the Spirit, 'now they may rest from their efforts, for the things they have accomplished follow along with them.'"
14 Then I looked, and there before me was a white cloud.  Sitting on the cloud was someone like a Son of Man with a gold crown on his head
and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15  Another angel came out of the Temple and shouted to the one sitting on the cloud. "Start using your sickle to reap, because the time to reap has come--the earth's harvest is ripe!"  16  The one sitting on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.
17  Another angel came out of the Temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle.  18  Then out from the alter went yet another angel, who was in charge of the fire; and he called in a loud voice to the one with the sharp sickle. "Use your sharp sicle, and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth's vine, because they are ripe!"  19 The angel swung his sickle down onto the earth, gathered the earth's grapes and threw them into the great winepress of G-D's fury.  20  The winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress as high as the horses' bridles for two hundred miles!
                                  MARK-OF-THE-BEAST

So now we  see that those who take the mark of the beast  are  tormented night and day without ceasing .  This does not occur to the people of G-D.  It tells us in verse 12 that this is the time when the perseverance of the saints is needed, to those who observe Adonai's commands and the faithfulness of Yeshua.    Obviously the saints have not left the earth in a secret rapture.  They are still present  even after the mark has been released upon the earth.
It tells us in verse 13 that anyone dying from this point on in Yeshua are blessed.   Blessed?  Those dying are blessed?  We forget that even G-D says that to Him , the death of His saints is a precious thing.
We  now see Yeshua  doing what ?  Sitting on a cloud  with a sickle in His hands.  What does  it say in  Matthew  24:29-31

29 But immediately following the trouble of those times,
                         the sun will grow dark,
                         the moon will stop shining,
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the powers in heaven will be shaken.

30  Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, all the tribes of th Land will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with tremendous power and glory.  He will send out his angels with a great shofar; and they will gather together his chosen people from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

So now we see that  Yeshua is coming back in the clouds in Matthew  24 and in Revelation after the  mark of the beast has been released.  Yeshua only comes back one time.  He will not come once in the clouds for  a rapture then again in the clouds for another one.   He will  gather His elect one time and one time only!
Starting in  verse 15 of  Revelation  Chapter 14 , we find that Yeshua is swinging his sickle from upon the cloud  He is sitting upon.  He is gathering His people from the earth.
Now starting in verse 17 an angel swings his sickle and this is against the unbelievers.  This is the beginning of G-D's fury against those who have blasphemed the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) by receiving the mark of the beast.     It  says that they are thrown into the winepress of G-D's fury, verse 19.  His chosen ones, the redeemed, do not receive this fury , even though they are present on the earth!
Now if we look back when Yeshua thrust His sickle into the earth for the harvest , in the preceding verse it said in 14:13  How blessed are those who die from now on in Yeshua.  Not the saints alive disappearing , but the dead in Yeshua.   That is the purpose of that coming in the clouds.  The dead are given glorified bodies and are now forever more with Yeshua!
Now the seven bowls of G-D's fury is about to be poured upon the earth. This starts in chapter 16 of Revelation.
In chapter 16:12-14  , it states that after the sixth bowl is poured out that three unclean spirits performing miracles go out to the kings of the whole inhabited world to assemble them for the War of the Great Day of Adonai.  In verse 15 Yeshua says he is coming as a thief.  How blessed are those who keep their clothes clean , so they will not be naked and put to a public shame.

angel7bowls                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               This is after the sixth bowl of G-D's fury.  He is still protecting His chosen ones on the earth!  But He is also warning them to keep themselves clean from the world and be alert.

Let us look at an example in history that did not "happen" the way it was supposed to!  Sometimes we can want something to happen so bad, that we listen not to G-D , nor His word, but in our own selfishness we devise the future to our liking.

                                                                  The Millerites

William Miller (1782-1849) was a farmer and Baptist layman in Low Hampton, New York. After receiving Christ as his Savior in 1816, he gave himself to avid study of the Bible. As a result, he came to the inescapable conclusion that the Second Coming of Christ would come in or about the year 1843.

Feeling the moral obligation to share this startling and vital information with his fellow men, he began to accept speaking engagements in NE New York and adjacent areas of Vermont, but after many years, he had succeeded in getting the Second Advent message out to only a small circle of followers.

Not until Miller met Joshua V. Himes in 1839 did the Millerite movement really take off, becoming the greatest sensation of the age. Himes was a publicist and organizing genius, while Miller was the theologian of the movement.

Millerism was spread through the Northern U.S. by 3 means - by speaking appearances of Millerite lecturers, by camp meetings, and by the mass distribution of millions of newspapers, tracts, books and pamphlets.

Miller's preaching resulted in many unbelievers making professions of faith, and for that reason he was welcomed by some pastors who did not particularly care for his date-setting enthusiasm. But Noah Webster, of dictionary fame, was not so impressed - he told Miller: "Your preaching can be of no use to society but it is a great annoyance. If you expect to frighten men and women into religion, you are probably mistaken. . . . If your preaching drives people into despair or insanity, you are responsible for the consequences."

The movement concentrated on the 1843 date for Christ's return, but not all Millerites accepted that date, some of them proposing an 1847 date, with others saying that it was not scripturally possible to set an exact date for Christ's coming.

The movement did not fall precisely into modern categories of millennialism and Christian Zionism. A handbill prepared by Himes in 1840 proclaimed, "No Literal Return of the Carnal Jews as a Nation to Palestine" and "No Millennium Prior to the Resurrection of the Dead."

IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT. The glad news of Christ's coming in 1843 was accepted by a cross section of American society, mostly prosperous middle-class people who had no particular reason to feel alienated from or weary of their current earthly circumstances. The movement was strongest in New England and New York, while lecturers spread the word west to Ohio, Illinois, Missouri and other states.

Free blacks in New England flocked to the Millerite camp meetings along with whites, while slaves in Maryland received with great interest the news that their earthly servitude would soon be over, and sang Millerite hymns as they worked in the fields. The Millerites attracted almost no support from white Southerners, who were suspicious because many of the Millerite lecturers had been anti-slavery activists.

Naturally, the teaching that the world would end in 1843 resulted in a storm of opposition and ridicule, from orthodox evangelical Christians as well as infidels. A few trained theologians became Millerites, but most rejected the movement with scorn. The Millerites dismissed their opponents by identifying them with the "scoffers" of 2 Peter 3:3-4. Miller accused those who did not accept his date-setting of not wanting Christ to return at all. His teaching resulted in a tremendous amount of strife, division and infighting among evangelicals.

The movement was ecumenical - historian Everett Dick found that of 174 Millerite lecturers, 44% were Methodist, 27% Baptist, 9% Congregationalist, 8% Campbellite and 7% Presbyterian. Millerite leaders at first advised their followers to stay with their churches, but as derision and persecution increased, there was a call for them to "come out of Babylon."

SIGN, SIGN, EVERYWHERE A SIGN. There were great expectations that Christ would come at that time, based on the "signs of the times" such as the "Dark Day" on May 19, 1780 in which the sun did not shine over New England; also a meteor shower in 1833, a storm in Madeira in 1842, earthquakes and a comet in 1843, the financial "Panic of 1837," increasing lawlessness and violence in the inner cities, riots, hunger, breakdown of morality, etc. Then, as now, every item of news in the daily papers was considered a sign that Christ would return soon.

In preparation for Christ's eagerly awaited return, Millerites closed their shops, left their crops unharvested, and gave away all their money and earthly goods which would soon no longer be of any use to them.

A tailor in Philadelphia put out a sign reading "This shop is closed in honor of the King of Kings, who will appear about the 22nd of October. Get ready, friends, to crown Him Lord of all."

The great day came, but Christ did not return. The Millerites called this day the "Great Disappointment." As the sun dawned on the 23rd, they were "Left Behind" to endure the ridicule, persecution and occasional violence of anti-Millerite mobs.

Hiram Edson wrote, "We wept, and wept, til the day dawn. . . . If this had proved a failure, what was the rest of my Christian experience worth? Has the Bible proved a failure? Is there no God - no heaven - no golden home city - no paradise? Is all this but a cunningly devised fable? Is there no reality to our fondest hopes and expectation of these things?" Thus, in all ages, has true Christian faith been weakened and exposed to vilification because of the date-setters and false prophets.

WHAT A LONG STRANGE TRIP IT'S BEEN. Everett Dick documented, as a result of the disillusionment of the Millerites, a drastic decline in Methodist church membership in the North after 1844, and a slight decline in northern Baptist church membership after 1844. Methodist church membership continued to grow in the South where Millerism was almost unknown. At the height of the Millerite excitement, many churches were split and some disbanded as a result of the heated prophetic wrangling.

Millerites reacted to the Great Disappointment in various ways; some returned to their old churches and denominations in repentant embarrassment, while others lost all interest in religion. Some joined weird mystical sects like the Shakers, who believed that Christ had already returned in the person of Mother Ann Lee in 1770.

Hiram Edson and Ellen G. White decided that what really happened in 1844 is that Christ cleaned out the heavenly sanctuary as a prelude to His coming to earth - this, plus observance of the Saturday Sabbath, became the foundation of the successful Seventh Day Adventist denomination, which has spread worldwide and still looks back to Miller for inspiration.

Miller and his loyal sidekick Himes were good and sincere men, who do not appear to have been motivated by desire for fame or financial enrichment. They felt compelled by duty to spread their Adventist message, but they were sincerely wrong. Let us maintain our faith in Christ's future literal return, but let us not disgrace and discredit that message by setting dates. Christ knew what He was talking about when He told the Apostles, "It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power." - Acts 1:7.

So where does the "rapture" theory come from and why is it so prevalent today in mainstream Christianity?
Every one has heard of the left behind series of books by Jerry Jenkins and Tim Lahaye.  These books are very popular and have even been made into movies.   rapture  But if one looks closely at these books and where the origin of the belief of the rapture is from, it may cause you to reconsider the belief in this deceptive notion of rapture.

The Dispensational Origins of Modern Premillennialism

By Jack Van Deventer

John Neslon Darby
The twentieth century has seen a dramatic paradigm shift in prophetic perspectives, first away from and now back toward its historic roots. This shift away from historic Christianity stemmed from a novel approach to Bible interpretation called dispensationalism which was developed in the 1830s and popularized with the 1909 publication of the Scofield Reference Bible. Dispensationalism, with its unique brand of premillennialism, has been thoroughly pervasive, being prominent in many churches, in bookstores, and among radio Bible teachers.

The distinguishing features of dispensationalism are a rigidly applied literalism in the interpretation of Scripture, a compartmentalization of Scripture into "dispensations," and a dichotomy between Israel and the Church. Dispensationalists believe "this present world system . . . is now controlled by Satan" (not by God) and will end in failure and apostasy.

Dispensational premillennialists claim that their unique doctrines have been held since the early church, but these claims have been soundly refuted. Far from being the historic position of the church, premillennialism was described in 1813 by David Bogue as an oddity of Church history. Postmillennialism was the dominant eschatology from the Reformation until at least 1859.

The doctrine of a secret rapture was first conceived by John Nelson Darby of the Plymouth Brethren in 1827. Darby, known as the father of dispensationalism, invented the doctrine claiming there were not one, but two "second comings." This teaching was immediately challenged as unbiblical by other members of the Brethren. Samuel P. Tregelles, a noted biblical scholar, rejected Darby's new interpretation as the "height of speculative nonsense." So tenuous was Darby's rapture theory that he had lingering doubts about it as late as 1843, and possibly 1845. Another member of the Plymouth Brethren, B.W. Newton, disputed Darby's new doctrine claiming such a conclusion was only possible if one declared certain passages to be "renounced as not properly ours."

Sandeen writes, "this is precisely what Darby was prepared to do. Too traditional to admit that biblical authors might have contradicted each other, and too rationalist to admit that the prophetic maze defied penetration, Darby attempted a resolution of his exegetical dilemma by distinguishing between Scripture intended for the Church and Scripture intended for Israel. . . . Darby's difficulty was solved by assuming that the Gospels were addressed partly to Jews and partly to Christians."

Thus, the doctrine of the separation of Israel and the Church, the foundation of dispensationalism, was born out of Darby's attempt to justify his newly fabricated rapture theory with the Bible. Dispensationalists believed justification for carving up the Scriptures came from 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) "rightly dividing the word of truth." Subsequent dispensationalists divided the Scriptures in terms of categories of people: Jew, Gentile, and Christian. Chafer taught that the only Scriptures addressed specifically to Christians were the gospel of John, Acts, and the Epistles! Pettengill taught that the Great Commission was for the Jews only.

Scofield taught that the Lord's prayer was a Jewish prayer and ought not be recited by Christians. Along with much of the New Testament, the Old Testament was described as "not for today." Ryrie dismissed the validity of the Old Testament commands to non-Jews because "the law was never given to Gentiles and is expressly done away for the Christian." Christians were even mocked as legalists for believing in the Ten Commandments! As other critics have observed, this segmentation of the Bible makes dispensationalism a Christianized version of cultural relativism.

Snowden and others traced the rise of modern premillennialism to a variety of religious splinter groups: the Plymouth Brethren (developed dispensationalism), the Millerites (became the Adventists), Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Pentecostals. Dispensational premillennialism was marketed the same way as the cultic groups.

First, historic Christianity was discredited by the claim that all the prominent commentaries, all the church fathers, and even the Reformers were deluded by "man-made doctrines." Second, new revelation was claimed. Darby claimed to have received "new truth" or at other times "rediscovered truth" that had been lost since the apostles. Third, enthusiasm was whipped up on the pretense that Christ's coming was imminent. Frequent false predictions did not seem to deter this enthusiasm.

Snowden cited increasing prophetic fervor in the early 1900's rising from (1) a "fresh interest and zeal" in interpreting the "signs of the times," (2) the Great War (WWI) which started a wave of prophetic speculation, and (3) "the fall of Jerusalem out of Mohammedan into Christian hands [which] has whipped the millennarian imagination up to its highest pitch of foresight and prognostication." This background explains the widespread popularity of the Scofield Reference Bible, published in 1909, which had a dramatic influence in spreading dispensationalism. Many well-known scholars warned that the teachings of dispensationalism were "unscriptural" (Spurgeon), "heterodox" (Dabney), "bizarre doctrine" and "grievous error" (Warfield), but the warnings went largely unheeded.

Today, dispensationalism is in a theological turmoil, having declined sharply since the 1970's because of mounting criticism. Grenz notes, "Dispensationalism today is in a state of fluidity. No longer are the rigid distinctives of the past held to with unswerving certainty. Many progressive dispensationalists are no longer certain as to exactly what are the defining tenets of the system that commands their allegiance." [Permission Graciously Given by The Foundation for Biblical Studies]

What is not stated in this article is that Darby became attracted to the rapture theory because of a vision that a woman named Margaret McDonald had in England.

There are three verses in the B'rit Chadashah which are used to prove the existence of the "Rapture".   The verses are II Thessolonians 4:13-18  , I Corinthians 15:50-53, and Matthew 24:3-31.   Let us also read another scripture.

II Thesolonians 2:9-12     9 When this man who avoids Torah comes, the Adversary will give him the power to work all kinds of false miracles, signs and wonders.   10 He will enable him to deceive, in all kinds of wicked ways, those who are headed for destruction because they would not receive the love of the truth that could have saved them.  11 This is why G-D is causing them to go astray, so that they will believe the Lie.  12 The result will be that all who have not believed the truth, but have taken their pleasure in wickedness, will be condemned.

We see in this verse that because the majority of people will not seek the truth they WILL BE DECIEVED BY A LIE FROM HASATAN!    This is what takes place with people believing and staking their destinies in a rapture.

Let us begin a study on the 70th week of Daniel.  I think you will find this very enlightening.

So now what is the truth about the rapture?  Let us look at what scripture has to say about it.  Let us begin in Daniel chapter 9.

This reading comes from the Bible.

     Dani’el (Daniel) 9:24-27

24 “Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and for your holy city for putting an end to the transgression, for making an end of sin, for forgiving iniquity, for bringing in everlasting justice, for setting the seal on vision and prophet, and for anointing the Especially Holy Place.  25 Know, therefore, and discern that seven weeks (of years) will elapse between the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Yerushalayim until an anointed prince comes.  It will remain built for sixty-two weeks (of years), with open spaces and moats; but these will be troubled times. 26 Then, after the sixty-two weeks, Mashiach will be cut off and have nothing.  The people of a prince yet to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary, but his end will come with a flood, and desolations are decreed until the war is over.  27 He will make a strong covenant with leaders for one week (of years).  For half of the week he will put a stop to the sacrifice and the grain offering.  On the wing of detestable things the desolator will come and continue until the already decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator.”

Seventy weeks = 490 days. A day in prophecy represents a year (see Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6). Thus 490 days are really 490 years.  The prophecy starts with a direct “commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem” (verse 25) after the Babylonian captivity and reaches down to the first coming of Yeshua . After 69 weeks (after 483 years), “shall Messiah be cut off” (verse 26). Christian theologians and scholars apply this to  crucifixion of Yeshua. After theL-RD’s death, “the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary” (verse 26). While there are differences of opinion as to who “the people of the prince” refers to, the majority of scholars nevertheless apply the destruction of “the city and the sanctuary” to the second destruction of Jerusalem and its rebuilt sanctuary by Roman armies under Prince Titus in 70 A.D. *

So now , we have seen 69 weeks fulfilled and that leaves us with one week , “the seventieth week of Daniel”.

Based on the day-year principle (which is valid), the “one week” remaining in this prophecy must refer to a period of seven years. Pro-rapture promoters claim this is the seven-year period of tribulation. Their idea is that while the first 69 weeks (or 483 years) did reach to the first coming of Yeshua , the prophetic clock has stopped because the Jewish people largely rejected Him. Then they slide the 70th week (the last seven years) all the way down to the end times, call it the tribulation, and say it applies to the Jewish people after we’re gone. *

Rapture teachers interpret Daniel 9:27 as follows:

(1) “He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week.” “He” is the antichrist who will make a covenant (or peace treaty) with the Jews during the seven years of tribulation.

(2) “In the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…” In the middle of the seven-year tribulation, the antichrist will break his covenant, turn against Israel, and stop their animal sacrifices.

(3) The phrase, “he shall cause the sacrifice…to cease” is viewed as irrefutable proof that a Jewish temple (which includes sacrifices) must be rebuilt on the Temple Mount inside Jerusalem.

Bestselling author Hal Lindsey in his The Late Great Planet Earth reflects this current view when he writes about “G-D’s last seven years of dealing with the Jewish people before the long awaited setting up of the kingdom of G-D (Daniel 9:27).” (The Late Great Planet Earth, p. 46) According to Mr. Lindsey, during those seven years “ ‘the Antichrist,’ breaks his covenant with the Jewish people and causes the Jewish temple worship, according to the Law of Moses, to cease (Daniel 9:27)…We must conclude that a third Temple will be rebuilt upon its ancient site in old Jerusalem.” (Ibid.)

Therefore, according to countless modern interpreters, Daniel 9:27 is applied to a future antichrist, a future peace treaty made with Israel, a future seven-year tribulation, and a future rebuilt Jewish temple inside Jerusalem. And all of this will supposedly start with the rapture. Honestly, that’s a lot to interpret from that single verse, especially when Daniel 9:27 says absolutely nothing about any seven-year tribulation, antichrist, or rebuilt Jewish temple!

The 70th Week of Daniel Delusion

by Steve Wohlberg

A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes. — Mark Twain (1835-1910)

Christians often debate about whether Yeshua will return for His Church before the seven years of tribulation (the “pre-trib” view), in the middle of the seven years (the “mid-trib” view), or at the end of the seven years (the “post-trib” view). Yet by far the most important question worth asking is: Does the Bible really predict a future “seven-year period of tribulation” in the first place?

Shockingly, there is no specific Bible text predicting any seven-year tribulation. The entire theory is based on an interpretation of one primary verse, Daniel 9:27, which says:

He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease… (Daniel 9:27 KJV).

Modern interpreters often conclude:

  1. “He” is the Antichrist
  2. Antichrist will make a treaty with the Jews for “one week” (the last “week” of the 70-week/490-year prophecy)–meaning seven years of Tribulation.
  3. In the middle of the Tribulation, Antichrist will cause the sacrifices of a rebuilt Jewish temple “to cease.”

Thus Daniel 9:27 is applied to Antichrist, a seven-year Tribulation, and a rebuilt Jewish temple–yet the verse itself says none of this. The fact is that countless credible Bible scholars of the past applied Daniel 9:27 to Yeshua, not antichrist.

Matthew Henry’s commentary on Daniel 9:27 states, “By offering himself a sacrifice once and for all, he [Yeshua ], shall put an end to all the Levitical sacrifices.” (1). British Methodist Adam Clarke’s commentary says that during Daniel 9:27’s “term of seven years,” Yeshua Himself would “confirm or ratify the new covenant with mankind.”(2). The Jamieson, Fausset and Brown commentary also says: “He shall confirm the covenant—Yeshua . The confirmation of the covenant is assigned to Him.” (3).

The following ten points provide solid evidence that Daniel’s 70th week doesn’t refer to any future Tribulation at all. Rather, it was fulfilled nearly two thousand years ago.

  1. The prophecy of “seventy weeks” means seventy straight sequential weeks. There is no example in Scripture (or anywhere else!) of a time period starting, stopping, and then starting again. All biblical references to time are consecutive: 40 days and 40 nights (Genesis 7:4), 400 years in Egypt (Genesis 15:13), etc.
  2. The 70th week follows immediately after the 69th week. If it doesn’t, then it cannot properly be called the 70th week!
  3. It is illogical to insert a 2,000-year gap between the 69th and 70th week. There is no gap between the first seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. Why insert one between the 69th and 70th week?
  4. Daniel 9:27 says nothing about any “tribulation,” “rebuilt” Jewish temple, or “antichrist.” Zero.
  5. Daniel 9:24-27’s focus is the Messiah. After the Messiah is “cut off” (referring to Yeshua's death), “the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.” This refers to the destruction of Jerusalem by Roman armies led by Prince Titus in A.D. 70. (4)
  6. “He shall confirm the covenant.” Paul said “the covenant” was “confirmed before by G-D in Yeshua” (Galatians 3:17). Yeshua Messiah came “to confirm the promises made to the fathers” (Romans 15:8). The word “covenant” is Messianic, and always applies to the Messiah, not antichrist.

  1. “He shall confirm the covenant with many.” Yeshua said, “This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many…” (Matthew 26:28). Yeshua was quoting Daniel 9:27 specifically.
  2. “In the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice…to cease.” After 3 ½ years of ministry, Yeshua Messiah's death put an end to all sacrifices in G-D’s sight. He is the final Sacrifice!
  3. “For the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate” (Daniel 9:27, KJV). It was abominable for the Jewish leaders to put G-D’s Son to death. This ended their temple. Jesus predicted, “Your house is left to you desolate” (Matthew 23:38).
  4. The 70 weeks applied to the Jewish people (Daniel 9:24). Messiah’s public ministry lasted 3 ½ years during which His focus was “the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matthew 10:6). After His resurrection and then for another 3 ½ years, His disciples preached mostly to Jews (see Acts 1-6). When the Jewish Sanhedrin stoned Stephen in 34 AD (see Acts 7), the gospel shifted to the Gentiles (see Acts 13:46)–exactly as prophecy predicted.

One major reason why the Jewish nation as a whole failed to receive its Messiah was because its scholars misinterpreted Daniel 9:27.

The evidence is overwhelming! These eight words found in Daniel 9:27: “confirm… covenant… many… midst… sacrifice… cease… abominations… desolate” all find perfect fulfillment in Yeshua Messiah  and early Christian history. One major reason why the Jewish nation as a whole failed to receive its Messiah was because its scholars misinterpreted Daniel 9:27. They failed to see Yeshua Messiah  as the predicted One who would die in the midst of the 70th week! The same thing is happening today as Christian scholars misapply the same prophecy.

The “seven-year tribulation theory” is like a gigantic bubble. Once Daniel 9:27 is correctly understood and the pin of truth inserted, “Pop goes the seven years!” It’s a fact: There is no Bible text that teaches any “seven-year tribulation.” If you hunt for it, you’ll end up like Ponce de Leon searching for the Fountain of Youth. He never found it.

Messiah Yeshua  confirmed the covenant and caused the sacrifices “to cease.”

May error cease in our minds as we follow G-D’s truth.

Let us recap:

70 weeks 70 x 7 days = 490

490 days = 490 years

1 day= 1 year

What did Messiah say in Mattityahu 18:21-22 ?

21      Then Kefa came up and said to Him, “Rabbi, how often can my brother sin against me and I have to forgive him? As many as seven times?” 22 “No, not seven times,”answered Yeshua, “but seventy times seven!”

Do you see something here?  Yeshua is alluding to the seventy weeks of Daniel!  He is essentially saying that He is the fulfillment of this prophecy.   Nothing is said in the Tanach or B’rit Chadasha without purpose or significance.  Yeshua said ,”seventy times seven”  on purpose.  We must look at all scripture in context and not try to make it fit what religious society want it to be!

Now we see that without a seven year tribulation the rapture has no legs to stand on.

The Bible is clear and consise.  There is no secret rapture!  We will be caught up with the L-RD on the "Day of L-RD" when He returns to judge all mankind.

Remember what Yeshua said in Matthew 24:27-31

27 For when the Son of Man DOES COME, it will be like lightning that flashes out of the east and fills the sky to the western horizon.

28 Wherever there's a dead body, that's where you will find the vultures

29 But immediately following the trouble of those times,

                            the sun will grow dark,

                            the moon will stop shining,

the stars will fall from the sky,

and the powers of heaven will be shaken.

30 "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, all the tribes of the Land will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with tremendous power and glory.

31 He will send out his angels with a great shofar, and they will gather together his chosen people from the four winds , from one end of heaven to the other.

So we see that when Yeshua comes, all eyes will see Him.  He will not "secretly " take away the believers and then come again to receive those living; this is unscriptual.  He will come once and only once!  If taken in context, the scripture makes total sense and does not allude to a rapture at all.

So what is the purpose of this lie, and what could it possibly reap for HaSatan?  THE GREAT FALLING AWAY!

When the terrible things that Yeshua talked about start happening and the "believers" see that they were not taken away , but left to go through, then they will become angry and mad at G-D. A little history lesson.  On every occasion in history when a date was set for the coming of Messiah , and the deliverance of the believers through a rapture ; when the said time arrived and then disappeared with no rapture, people became angry and some even left G-D alltogether.  What will a future time of terrible trouble do to those believers that expect to not go through turmoil or tribulation?  Revelation talks of those believers!

In Revelation chapter 16  John talks about his vision of seeing people on earth being plagued by fire and burned, being plagued by sores, having great hailstones fall upon them.    But what do the people do in these instances ?  They curse G-D.  Why would they be cursing G-D?  Did not all the believers go up in the rapture before all these things started to occur?   No!  These cursing G-D are believers!  He should have rescued them and kept them from going through tribulation, after all that is what they heard their entire lives.  "We will go through no horrible things because we are not appointed to wrath.  G-D will redeem us in the rapture. "

Sorry to burst your bubble.  All over this world at this very moment, men, women , and even children are being killed!  Why!  Because Yeshua our Messiah is their L-RD!  Are all these precious believers enduring the wrath of G-D?  No!  Did Yesha'Yahu (Isaiah) receive the wrath of G-D by being sawn asunder?

petercrux1 Did Kefa (Peter) endure the wrath of G-D by being nailed to a stake?

stephen Did Stephen endure the wrath of G-D by being stoned to death?

martyrdom Was it the wrath of G-D that the early believers were put to death? No!  This is not G-D's wrath. We must rid ourselves of this western Greek mentality that we will not go through anything.    Even scripture says in Acts 14:22  'strengthening the talmidim, encouraging them to remain true to the faith, and reminding them that it is through many hardships that we must enter the Kingdom of G-D.

      The KJV states:Acts 14:22
Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Acts 14:21-23 (in Context) Acts 14 (Whole Chapter)

So now we see that we will go through hardships and tribulation.  G-D is the same yesterday, today , and forever.  Hardships and tribulation is what will make a spotless bride for Yeshua.  The sleepy , sin-infested, selfish bride we call the "church"  is not and never will be a bride ready for her groom Yeshua.  The only thing that will make this bride spotless and without wrinkle is , you guessed it, tribulation!  Even so, may these things happen to hasten Your return to Zion ,Yeshua our Messiah !   AMEIN

What should this cause us to do?  Should we be part of an endtimes lie that will give people false security into thinking they will not have to endure terrible things?  I think not.  We need to look to Yeshua and read His words in context.  We need to look at the prophets and read their words and not add to them the teachings and traditions that have been spoon-fed to us for many years.  We are not above our Master Yeshua.  Look how He died.  Think about it.  Do you think you will be spared hardships? We must trust our Messiah to bring us through all things.  In Him we are more than conquerers and are victorious!

          Shalom
